Debt Settlement America™ General Counsel Wesley Young was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Dallas Bar Association for 2007 as an Advisory Board member. He was also appointed Chairman of the Minority Participation Committee of the Dallas Bar Association and was elected President Elect of the Dallas Asian American Bar Association for 2007. Prior to joining DSA™ in 2007, he was a senior associate at the law firm of Baron & Budd, P.C. practicing complex mass tort litigation. During his time there he was named to the list of “Best Lawyers under 40" by D Magazine in 2006. DSA’s™ Wesley Young graduated with a BBA, cum laude from Baylor University and with a J.D. from Baylor Law School.

Debt Settlement America’s™ Young and Ward Both Chosen for TASC At-Large Board

Wesley Young and Process/Media Manager Kathy Ward were elected to serve on the The Association of Settlement Companies (TASC) Board at Large at the TASC Spring Convention in Las Vegas this past week.

TASC’s goals are to promote good practice in the debt settlement industry, protect the interests of consumer debtors, and lobby on behalf of debt settlement companies on the federal and state level. DSA™ President & CEO, Chris Kesterson, stated “Wesley and Kathy will make great additions to the TASC leadership team. They both bring to the organization unique backgrounds that will help consumers involved in a debt settlement program.” Chris currently serves on the TASC Executive Board. Both Young and Ward are also members of the TASC Legislative Committee.

Shawn Burdick Joins the Debt Settlement America™ Team

Shawn has been in the debt settlement industry since 2003. He has overseen 21,000+ settlements amounting to approximately $110,000,000 in settled consumer debt. DSA™ CEO and President Chris Kesterson states, “Shawn is a pioneer in establishing agreements with creditors, debt buyers and collection agencies He has helped expedite the liquidation of mutual accounts, reduce collections cost to the creditor and improve communication between industries.” Shawn is certified with the International Association of Professional Debt Arbitrators.
